Baileys are your local, family-run window shutter and blind company.

We started our business in the North East of England in 1968, that's over 45 years of expertise in making the finest quality window dressings. We are now able to supply window shutters, blinds, curtains and awnings across the UK through the Baileys family network.

We form part of a larger team of passionate and experienced people committed to providing our customers with the finest quality blinds and service for their homes. We are based at our Head Office in Newcastle and have shops covering the North East in Ashington, Darlington, Gosforth and Spennymoor, and teams of consultants and fitters in Scotland and the Midlands.

Our aim is to inspire our customers into creating the perfect look for their homes with the highest quality window dressings. We want our customers to have a thoroughly satisfying experience of buying from us. This is evidenced by the amount of customers who come back time and again and recommend us to family and friends.

The Baileys Family History

1775

John King, a merchant from Glasgow, started a textiles company to manufacture cotton fabric to be used for window blinds

1800s

King's Scotch Holland fabric becomes recognised as the world leader.

1946

Arthur Dutton and Horace Gavin partnered up to form Dutton & Gavin (Textiles)

1962

John King take over Dutton & Gavin (Textiles) as holding group.

1964

VBS Centurion Blinds established in the Midlands

1968

Baileys Blinds starts in North East England

1989

Goldcrest Furnishings established in Stirling. Marks the beginning of Baileys Family Group of today.

2005

Baileys Blinds joins Group

2008

VBS Centurion Blinds joins Group

2014

Dutton & Gavin (Textiles) joins Group

2014

Group manufacturing unit move into 30,000 sq ft. state-of-the-art production facility
